Coronation Street’s Jacob Roberts has shared some stunning holidays snaps with his girlfriend. The soap star first arrived on the cobbles in May 2024 as Weatherfield’s favourite detective Kit Green. Kit has been part of the some of the soap’s most hard-hitting storylines in recent years as the long-lost son of Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove).
But that wasn’t the end of the family drama for Kit, as he also learned he had his own secret son, later revealed to be bad boy Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey).
On the cobbles, Kit is in a relationship with Sarah Platt, played by Tina O’Brien. When the cameras aren’t rolling, the actor is also in a happy relationship with someone he met on the soap.
In October last year, Jacob went public with his girlfriend Caitlin Connolly who works as a publicity manager for Coronation Street. The couple often share insights into their life together away from the cobbles, from a gorgeous night’s out to stunning holiday photos.
In a recent post on Instagram, Jacob shared an insight into their recent trip to America. Sharing a selection of photos from their time away, the actor added: “US” as the caption.
The carousel of photos featured an adorable selfie of the couple, an aesthetic photo of Jacob walking down a street as well as a picture of their impressive-looking meal to share.
Taking to the comments, Coronation Street’s Catherine Tyldesley (who plays Eva Price) said: “Looks AMAZING!!!!” The actress also commented on Caitlin’s post and said: “I need a full breakdown and photo album when you get back please guys!!! So jel!!!! Enjoy kids!”
Vinta Morgan, who portrays Ronnie Bailey on the cobbles, said: “Picture 4 has me transfixed. I’m hungry right now.”
Soap producer Kate Brooks added: “These are wonderful”. One follower said: “This trip is on my list! Hope it’s everything you imagined!!” while another said: “Fab photos” with heart eyes emojis.
Jacob went public with his relationship with Caitlin in October last year. He shared a photo of the couple dressed up to attend a friend’s wedding.
Corrie stars rushed to the comments as the couple confirmed their relationship online. Vicky Myers (Lisa Swain) said: “Gorgeous [red heart].”
Tony Maudsley (George Shuttleworth) wrote: “Ahh now this makes me happy!!” and Sydney Martin (Betsy Swain) said: “Beautiful couple xx.”
Samia Longchambon (Maria Windass) said: “Gorgeous pair” and Tina O’Brien (Sarah Platt) added: “Oh you two [heart eyes emoji].”
